1 week old

Really?  Already?  The time is zooming away - it seems they were born only 5 minutes ago.  I'm sure to their waiting families the time is definitely NOT zooming.

Here are their portraits, taken yesterday on the 7-days-old mark but processed late.  Very late, in fact.  The first attempt, taken at 6 am, was a disaster, as it turned out when I loaded them onto the computer last night.   So back I went with the camera lens that I didn't drop and break.  Unfortunately it is the telephoto variety, so I need to stand on the other side of the house when taking the shots, which is not very handy when trying to wrangle puppies.

The results are not exactly the best photos we've ever gotten of 1-week-old puppies.  But they're still pretty damn cute.

At the 2-week update their eyes will be open.

Tomorrow, the weights and poll result.  I'll bet you can hardly wait (you weren't expecting any prizes for being right, though, were you?)

Looking so much like his dad!  Or is that just the pink nose talking?

The little girl, always easy to spot because she seems about half the size of her sister in the box.  Looks like her mum, I think.

It was hard to get photos of this big, strong, wiggling boy.

And even tougher to get photos of this unbelievably strong girl.  She's practically sitting up already.  And she can almost hoist herself onto her feet too.  But she's most definitely brown now after briefly getting my hopes up for an exotic colour.  No doubt she will turn red in due course like all the rest of the Infindigo brownies.

I started out getting him mixed up with his older brother, Tux.  These days, though, he is looking more like Kukka - and the pink nose is starting to disappear.
