A side shelf makes an excellent headrest and is very welcome for the puppies now that they do not end up as unwitting pillows for a tired nursing mum.  As you might imagine, there is much infant complaining when that happens.

And what could be cuter than those little bottoms.  Here they are in closeup.

Attending to the bottoms is a great preoccupation of any mama dog.  Young puppies can't wee or poo by themselves, so Tuuli spends an enormous amount of time grooming her babies and licking them to stimulate elimination.

I'm enjoying seeing how the poll vote is progressing.  You never know, though - we might all get a surprise.  All I will say is that Tux and Tan are exactly the same weight today.
