3 week portraits

If you're not a follower on Facebook, you won't know that a few days ago Hopea was discovered on the upstairs landing, fast asleep on the floor!  Never have I had a puppy manage to climb out of the whelping box before the age of 3 weeks.  She's going to be one to watch, for sure.  Super clever and super cute - what a great combination.  I know you all think she's the noisy one who is always causing trouble.  And it's true that she does seem to be a bit of an attention-seeker who features in many of the headlines.  However, she's not more noisy than the rest, although she is the one who does the most wagging.  And climbing, apparently.  Most recently, the noisy puppy has been Little Ilo and the quiet one has been Brownie.  His time to be the naughty one is coming, I'm sure.

Here come the puppies at 3 weeks old.  There are lots of milestones reached by this age; by now they are sitting up, squatting for their wees & poos - or, to be more precise, squatting for their poos and standing with back legs spread for their wees.  They are also playing with each other, practicing all their new doggie talents like barking, growling and wagging, and we are getting glimpses of their first little teeth.

And those little teeth would explain all the noise and complaining - growing teeth hurts!
