2 week portraits

All the puppies have their eyes open now and are walking (staggering & stumbling) around.  They are trying to climb out of the holding box when we are cleaning out the whelping box twice a day (and they are almost succeeding... already).  They lick your nose when you hold them up to your face and they are starting to make little barking sounds.  And they are just about starting to chew each other's faces in play.  They are starting to look like little dogs instead of guinea pigs.  Will get a few videos this week so you can enjoy all the sights & sounds.

The browns look a more warm, reddish-brown in the photos than in the fur.  The light was very poor on Sunday when the photos were taken (rain, rain, go away!)  and so the flash distorts the colours a little.  However, I'm sure these brown puppies will follow the way of all the previous Infindigo brown puppies and end up a rich russet eventually anyway.  I wasn't happy with the photo of Brownie, so I took another quick shot today in natural light and you get more of a sense of the real shade of brown.

Hopea is no longer such a silvery-white, nor is she honey coloured like Tippi was.  She's more a pale mushroom colour.

Claw's white claws have turned black and all the puppies' markings are developing beautifully.  All the dark puppies will have fabulous markings when they grow up.
